Ground Safety Officer at the Swedish Armed Forces

The Swedish Armed Forces and the Air Force are growing and constantly developing. The situation in the world increases the demands on us and our missions are becoming more numerous. F 7 is the versatile air wing with many different activities at many different locations.

We are now looking for you, our new Ground Safety Officer.

About the Unit

At the Implementation Department (A3), you are at the center of events, preparing, coordinating, and following up on the execution of tasks ordered by C F 7. A3 coordinates what is happening now and in the coming months, where the individual must be able to handle qualified tasks under high tempo and with great responsibility.

Main Responsibilities

The Ground Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with SäkR during the execution of unit exercises and training. The responsibilities include working supportively and preventively to prevent accidents and incidents.

To achieve this, you will, among other things, support and educate on ground safety issues, participate in the planning and execution of larger exercises, and assist in the routine concerning deviation management.

The Operations Officer coordinates the entire ground safety work for the wing, where the Ground Safety Officer is a part.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Officer, OR 8
  • Good administrative ability
  • Good ability to express oneself in Swedish
  • Driving license B for manual transmission
  • Driver's license for Pb/Llb
  • Swedish citizenship

MERITORIOUS

  • Experience in the Armed Forces' operational safety work.
  • Experience in staff duties.
  • Experience in unit training/larger unit exercises.
  • Good pedagogical ability.
  • Good experience in training larger and smaller groups.
  • Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in English.

Employment type: Permanent. We apply a six-month probationary period for those not currently employed by the Armed Forces.

Start date: As soon as agreed

The position requires physical ability, undertaking business trips, and participating in training and exercises in the war organization.

Skaraborg Air Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here you will find combat aircraft as well as the Armed Forces' collective resources for transport and special aviation. We conduct basic and position training for conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are based in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for Swedish personnel in the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
